For people who can already pour. If you've got hearts and tulips down and want to push into the patterns that make people stop and look — this is the session.
Taught by Hitoshi Araya, Frank's Head Barista and Latte Art Educator, and shaped around whatever you're currently stuck on. You'll spend almost the whole session on the machine.
What you'll work on
- Advanced patterns — swans, rabbits, seahorses, unicorns and multi-element designs, chosen to suit your level
- Milk under pressure — consistent microfoam, texture control, and holding your milk together across a long pour
- Flow and precision — jug height, flow rate and the wrist control that separates a clean rosetta from a good one
- Difficult vessels — pouring into shapes that fight you, like the ACME tulip cup
- Competition technique — how latte art is judged at national and world level, what the scoresheet rewards, and where your pours currently sit against it
What's included
- All milk and coffee for the session
- Video of your pours so you can review your own technique
- Before-and-after photos
- A personalised written follow-up from Hitoshi the next morning
- A coffee on us at the end
Who it's for
Working baristas, competitive pourers, and serious home baristas who can already steam decent milk and pour a recognisable tulip or rosetta unaided. If you're starting out, take the Basic Latte Art Class first — you'll get far more from this one afterwards.
