The Story of Gesha Coffee from Las Terrazas
Grown by Wbeimar Lasso at the picturesque farm Las Terrazas, this exceptional coffee undergoes a meticulous process to ensure the highest quality. The coffee cherries are harvested following strict ripeness criteria, then floated and hand-sorted to remove any defects.
Unique Fermentation and Processing
The cherries are exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped. The parchment is then gently washed and dried in temperature-controlled conditions until the ideal moisture content is achieved, preserving the coffee's distinctive characteristics.
The Legendary Gesha Varietal
This microlot is 100% Gesha, a varietal first discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia, in 1931. Known for its unique flavor profile, Gesha was introduced to Panama in 1963 and later to Colombia in 2005. Today, it is celebrated globally for its exceptional quality and complex flavors.
